懐かしいたまごっちがスター・ウォーズとコラボレーションしてたのは知りやせんでした。R2-D2を育成しようと思います。
あまり人気がなかったようですね。電池の持ちが悪いような気がします。
star wars好きの子にプレゼントするには値段も手頃で喜ばれると思います。
A shame it gets bad reviews because people buy without reading the description or look a bit further.
YES this is very small. It’s a NANO. Which means it’s tiny! That’s the purpose! There were already MINI tamagotchis that were smaller than the classics back in the day, and the NANO are way smaller. If you read the description, the dimensions are clearly stated so don’t complain because you hit the buy button before educating yourself of what you’re paying for. Just the pictures give a hint, the screen resolution is only 30×24 pixels and it’s clearly visible on the product picture…
I feel obliged to post size comparison pictures just because of this… hope it will be useful for some…
For the tamagotchi itself, that’s exactly what I expected. Like the other nanos, the actions are limited compared to a “real classic tamagotchi”. You take care of R2-D2, instead of feeding him, you charge its batteries, instead of giving it snacks, you clean it. There’s no poop, it’s replaced by dust all over R2 meaning it gets dirty.
Like the Evatchi and Eevee x Tamagotchi, there’s a bit more features than the Hello Kitty or PAC-MAN ones (those are very very limited). At first you have 2 games but you unlock up to 9 different ones according to R2-D2 evolutions that are also diversified.
But that’s all. Once you finish one cycle (classic R2-D2 > R2-D2 special evolution) a second starts. The nano aren’t meant to be played like classic tamagotchis, they’re meant for people that really don’t have the time to look for it all day long and that’s a very good solution for Tama lovers that don’t want or can’t commit their day to a digital pet. The price is way more affordable, and that’s a very cute keychain.
The only things that sadden me a bit is that the back of the packaging was covered by a white label which hides all the basic informations and simply the design (I keep all my Tama packagings), and that R2-D2 makes always the same sounds, that’s not very varied but I’m still glad they had its characteristics sounds in the form of classic tamagotchi “beeps”.
The buttons work perfectly and having “big” hands doesn’t get in the way to enjoy it.
As a huge fan of the Star Wars franchise and tamagotchi in general, I’m very happy I got my own little R2-D2 buddy.

Delivered promptly. I was in Japan for 2 weeks and ordered these 5 days before I leave. And they manage to deliver on time. Product is in great condition. They tamagotchi itself is super cute.
